How We Operate

Professional development training
TSM professional development training for employees is offered to clients on a pick and mix basis allowing flexibility to choose the training sessions most appropriate for HSE professionals or Line management.

TSM is currently operating in the energy sector, manufacturing sector and facilities management sector, we also provide support to the services and contracting industry.  With a firm base in Trinidad and Tobago, we also supply personnel to work with clients internationally in Africa and South America.

TSM utilises about 1,200 square feet of office space on Queen's Park West, POS. The office benefits from a high quality IT infrastructure using wireless technology and server equipment that allows our out of office workers access to the information they need when they need it.

The Management Team consists of:

  • The Chairman with responsibility for strategy and market growth.

  • The Managing Director with overall responsibility for company operating activities.

  • The Operations Manager with responsibility for personnel, scheduling and client maintenance services.

HSE professionals work in a variety of areas and at several grades.  Typically, new employees will come to the company with a minimum of the NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent qualification, they will be given ten days of professional development training prior to starting any client work, those with less experience will work in our offices, under the supervision of the Operations Manager prior to being allocated to work with a client.

On being allocated to work with a new client, employees undergo a level of induction specific to that clients needs, this may range from half a day of induction through to several days for more complex or longer term client work.

Following a probationary period, typically 6 months, employees are enrolled as staff members and are given enhanced benefits including medical plan, pension, loyalty bonus, health plan and a programme of professional development training.  Their security of employment is not linked to client commitment as TSM operates a business plan that provides for employees to be assigned to TSM specific work areas when not actively involved with clients.
